The landscapes, cities and flavors of Italy enchant many. This time we bring you southern Italian folk music and folk dances, from the colorful Italy to Budapest. We give you a taste of the world of tarantellas, the fast-paced rhythm of pizzica pizzica and the joy of dancing together.
If you are interested in Italian folk music, if you want to try some dances such as the spallatella or the quadriglia, then we are waiting for you on 1 December 2023!
Come and dance with us, enjoy the rhythm of the tambourine, listen to the melody of the accordion and immerse yourself in this special sensation of Italian life!
THE PROJECT
The “Dancing around Italy” event is organized as part of the Erasmus+ project “Learning Italian folk dances and folk music”.
The aim of the project is for the members of the Vivi Budapest Association to participate in Italian folk dance training courses and folk music course in Italy, learn as many different Italian folk dances as possible, as well as instrumental and vocal folk music, so that our music and dance events will be even more high-quality and diverse. A long-term goal is to run a folk dance group and an Italian folk music orchestra in Budapest.
