Who is on stage?
theater workshop in Italian

Theatrical activity means reading texts, discussing their meaning, working on them to reflect on themselves, stage them and get involved. Theater is a simple but very effective tool, which not only allows you to learn something new, but also gives you the opportunity to express yourself, even through a new language. That's why we decided to combine the practice of the Italian language with theatrical work. Our goal is precisely to emphasize the educational value of the theater, together with the importance of the Italian language, using the stage space to bring out the stories of the theater seen through the eyes of the participants. In fact, the theater workshop focuses on creativity, the ability to work in a group and its educational value.

Purpose of the theater workshop:

The purpose of the workshop is the realization and staging of a real theatrical show following these fundamental aspects:

  • Develop bodily and vocal expressiveness;

  • Learn to develop sensory skills (observe, listen, etc.);

  • Deepen the knowledge of the Italian language;

  • Encourage group work and creativity, individual and collective;

Methodology
  • The workshop will have the frequency of once a week, 2 hours of work divided into two parts:

  • the first part will consist of lessons on the history of theater, with the support of visual and textual material;

  • the second part will give space to the work on the actor with the body and the voice, integrating exercises and improvisations on the expressive use of the body and the voice, as well as exercises for listening and relating with the other and with the group.

  • At the same time, always through the use of improvisation techniques, we will begin to collect ideas and materials to work on, up to the final phase in which the themes and stories proposed will be collected together and reworked in a final work.
