In 2010  three mothers, Réka, Sara and Emőke, all three linked for different reasons to the Italian language and culture, we were looking for opportunities for our children to meet, so that they could use the Italian language while playing. We realized that there was a shortage of initiatives in Budapest, especially for younger children, and so we decided to create them, and to offer this possibility to other interested children and families as well.

  So was born the idea of the ITALIAN SUMMER CAMP and of the PLAYING IN ITALIAN Group!  

 

It has been a long time since then, we have had many adventures together and have helped many children to learn to accept and love their being bilingual. Meanwhile, our lives have also changed, our children have grown and with this our goals have also changed. 

Among our aims, in addition to activities for children, we have included the spread of the "correct" use of bilingualism, activities for adolescents and full-immersion adults to help them improve their language skills.

  Since 2016 in order to do more, the Giocando in Italiano group has been incorporated into the staff of the Vivi Budapest Association.
